Introductie

As of 1 March 2021, the HR department of MSF Holland is looking for a Recruiter (based in Amsterdam).

De functie / The role

As Recruiter, you are part of the Recruitment & Career Management Unit and reporting to the Coordinator HRM Recruitment and Career Management. The Recruiter aims to find candidates of a high quality for the variety of positions in our HQ office in Amsterdam, as well as attracting and recruiting international staff to fulfil various functions in our projects in the field. Field function groups vary from medical to paramedical or non-medical.


Main responsibilities

Runs the full recruitment process for HQ positions: from facilitating a Hiring Strategy Meeting and drafting advertising texts; through posting the vacancy, longlisting and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, compiling interview questions and joining interview panels; to checking references and giving feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
Reviews applications for international field positions, administering tests where appropriate and performing intake interviews in order to select candidates for acceptance into active field worker pools; collaborating with Career Managers for appropriate placement in field positions.
Participates in the development of creative and targeted outreach and recruitment strategies and implements plans in collaboration with other members of other departments, monitoring their effectiveness and proactively recommending changes as needed.
Makes public presentations regarding the organization and opportunities to work in the field at a variety of outreach opportunities, taking an ambassadorial role in marketing the organization to potential recruits.
Ensures that reference and background checks on applicants are completed.


Het profiel / Your profile

Profile

Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of thinking.
4-5 years of relevant working experience in HR
Proven experience of (international) recruitment for senior positions
Recruitment in an international working environment (essential), NGO experience is preferred
Fluency in English is essential, working knowledge of Dutch, French or Arabic are considered a plus;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and interviewing skills;
Flexible, open, able to manage stress and to work outside of office hours as required.
Good working knowledge of ERP systems (knowledge of Taleo is advantageous)
Highly motivated, organised, strong team player, ability to work independently;

Het aanbod / The offer

We offer

A challenging and exciting position in an international environment and the possibility to be part of a committed team contributing to our humanitarian mission.
A Dutch employment contract from 1 March 2021, based on 32 hours per week. The contract is for one year with renewal option.
Gross monthly salary of a minimum of € 2,484 and a maximum of € 3,548 (full-time) based on relevant work experience;
Other benefits include 30 holidays based on a fulltime appointment and a premium-free pension plan.
